This course is an intensive five-day program during which students are introduced to the concept of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.The Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation of Australia and New Zealand (SCTF of ANZ) was first established in 1990 with the objective of advancing the education of osteopathic practitioners.
The SCTF of ANZ is a registered not for profit organisation administered by a Board of Trustees selected from the teaching faculty.
Its aims are to:
- Teach professional development courses to registered osteopaths
- Strive for excellence in clinical osteopathy
- Promote the principles and practice of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field as taught by Doctors AT Stilland WG Sutherland
- Provide training for osteopathic educators
- Support and promote osteopathic research
- Maintain international osteopathic relationships
The courses are accredited for CPD points by the Australian Osteopathic Association and the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand. We are affiliated with the SCTF in the United States.
The faculty has grown to 34 highly experienced and qualified tutors. Osteopaths who have completed our program of courses are eligible and encouraged to train to be future teaching faculty through our Assistant Tutor Training Program.
